Colin's Sales Pitch

Colin is finishing his Communications Merit Badge for Scouts and had to make a sales pitch. This is what I found on the computer. I don't know about you, but I might buy one.

Who wants someone to do all the things they don’t want to do? What you need, my friend is a Mom! A Mom is a ready-made servant, willing to do anything you want with just a glimpse of a puppy-dog look from you. They will clean your room, make you food, buy you Video Games, and occupy your dad, so you can get out of homework and more. Moms also come with no real effort, all you have to do is ask, to get them to do everything YOU don’t want to do from clean your room to doing your homework! They are the PERFECT slaves and you don’t even have to pay for shipping!!! They have several settings, from goof off party dancer to disciplining siblings.

 

In the past a Mom could have been a VERY expensive purchase, but now for only 35 dollars you can buy a mom all of your own. That’s right, the outrageous low price of just 35 dollars, not including tax.

Bully

Tonight one of my kids was bullied to the point of tears, after I thought about all the the things that I could do to this bully (smack them, yell, egg their house, tape a sign to their back spelling out what a jerk they were, etc.) I did the responsible grown up thing and TOLD.

My Beautiful (Well) Girls

This year my good friend Kat sent the kids Christmas outfits. It was a huge undertaking and so thoughtful of her, but the darn company was a day late with the arrival time. Kat and I shrugged it off, as we realized they would now make perfect New Years Outfits. They did, or at least those who were well enough to church did. Colin and Hallie will rock theirs next week when they are feeling all better. THANK YOU KAT!
