After the pump races we went to stuff a scarecrow. They have a ton of old clothes that you can look through to choose the right look for your scarecrow. Ours had a ruffled shirt, but that didn't stop the class from naming him Bob. (There are more boys in the class than girls, so I don't think any of the other names stood a chance.) The class was very proud of Bob who got a special seat in our wagon and then on the bus back to school.

We then went on a hayride pulled by a tractor. Our driver pulled us right up the beginning of a corn maze. The kids made quick work of the maze and the chaperons got their exercise running after them.Ü
The maze came out next to a pile of pumpkins. The class was divided into two groups, and each group was given a wagon. The groups raced each other to see how quickly they could run to the pile, pick up a pumpkin, place it in the wagon, and run back to hand off to the next person. This was a ton of fun, it made the pumpkin picking fast! Naturally, Austin's team won.
We then painted our pumpkins!

Hallie had a wonderful time, but Austin and Reagan's favorite part was petting and feeding apples to the horses.

It was a great day. Next year we're going to take on the corn maze that is in the shape of Texas. I bet we find all the major cities!

This looked like a lot of fun - I hope you all are making new friends. I've been thinking about Austin...Reid's boss gave out Webkinz for Halloween and we got one for Genna. 'Cause, you know, she loves to use the computer to take care of an online pet. :)
We haven't registered it yet, but when/if we do, I'll have to figure out how to send a message to your kids. Miss you!!
